Technical Excellence & Control

Intuitive Fault Finding
The KF-650 removes the guesswork from commissioning. The integral black display panel features a sequence of colour-coded LED indicators that allow installers to verify system logic instantly. Green signifies the unit is powered ON, Blue indicates the manifold pump is active, Red shows the boiler or heat pump is requesting heat, and Orange confirms activity in specific zones.

Optimised for Low-Flow Temperatures
By utilising the installer selected adjustable Pump Delay function via internal dip switches, the KF-650 protects mechanical components. Standard wax thermal actuators take approximately 3 minutes to open fully; without a delay, the pump forces water against a closed valve ("dead-heading"). The KF-650 eliminates this, protecting the pump and ensuring the Heat Pump sees immediate flow, critical for maintaining high CoP (Coefficient of Performance) under BS EN 1264.

Versatile Compatibility
The KF-650’s default volt-free contact provides the flexibility required for modern UK heating systems, whether using a boiler, heat pump, or Heat Interface Unit (HIU). For installations requiring a 230V switched output (e.g., specific zone valves), an external 230V Live conductor can be connected to the COM terminal to switch voltage directly to the heat source.

Safety First
Strict compliance is mandatory for all electrical work. Installation and maintenance must be carried out by suitably qualified persons in accordance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations). For underfloor heating applications, fitting a high-limit device like our HL-109 is strongly recommended to protect delicate floor coverings from mechanical temperature control failure.
