Upgrading an existing property to efficient multi-zone underfloor heating (UFH) frequently hits a major roadblock: the disruptive and costly process of chasing hard-wired thermostats back to the Wiring centre next to the manifold. Furthermore, failing to adequately monitor and limit UFH floor temperatures directly goes against BS EN 1264 standards, risking damage to sensitive floor coverings like engineered wood or luxury vinyl.
Generic wireless thermostats often compound these issues. Many rely on unstable Wi-Fi connections that can frequently drop offline, leading to cold zones and callbacks for the installer.
